Mai 68. L'architecture aussi! | Lectures and exhibition
From October 7 to 9, the next session of the Histories of Architectural Education PhD course coordinated by Filippo De Pieri and Nicole De Togni will propose a series of 3 lectures by Caroline Maniaque, Eléonore Marantz and Jean-Louis Violeau.
The series is complemented by the exhibition Mai 68. L’architecture aussi!
This session of the PhD course Histories of Architectural Education revisits the years 1962–1977, when the renewal of architectural teaching went hand in hand with that of architecture, urban planning and their professions. Over three days, three presentations (The Beaux-Arts before 1968, Refusing the legacy of the Past / Reinventing School, A New Agenda for Architecture) will explore how a generation rejected, reinvented and reimagined the discipline. Each day will include a different methodological focus (working in the archives, with diplomas and periodicals, and with oral sources).
