Teaching

DAD's teaching programmes equip students with solid technical knowledge, abilities and skills in the field of architecture and design.

Teaching programmes are the “first mission” of our university. DAD’s teaching is organised through the College of Architecture and Design, which offers a total of three Bachelor's degree courses and four Master’s degrees. All of them offer flexible pathways, enabling students to acquire university credits through a choice of modules or alternative learning experiences, such as internships, seminars, workshops, challenges and group project.

Three PhD courses, three Level I and one Level II Professional Master's degree courses are also on offer at DAD. The teaching staff is also involved in other degree/doctorate courses and in the School of Specialisation in Architectural and Landscape Heritage.

What distinguishes teaching at DAD is interdisciplinarity, and as a result many courses involve harmonious contributions of different disciplines, experiential nature of design teaching and international outreach (many courses offered are taught entirely in English).

The academic staff of DAD participates in the University's initiatives for ongoing academic training, experimenting with innovative forms of teaching with a particular focus on the empirical dimension and the challenges posed by international classes.
