Il Seminario Drinkscape. The cultural landscape of Wine in Piemonte and Tea in Uji si propone come incontro d’avvio alla costituzione di un programma congiunto di formazione e di ricerca tra il Politecnico di Torino e il Kyoto Institute of Technology nel campo dell’architettura, del territorio, del progetto urbano e del design.
L’attività prevede una prima giornata di studio con contributi dei ricercatori e docenti delle due università mirati a illustrare le attività pregresse sulle tematiche relative ai paesaggi culturali nei reciproci contesti territoriali.
La seconda giornata prevede una visita nell’area de I paesaggi vitivinicoli del Piemonte: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato iscritta dal 2014 alla Lista del Patrimonio mondiale dell’Unesco, nella finalità di individuare temi e luoghi di studio per il Workshop formativo del Politecnico di Torino previsto per settembre 2019.
Nella terza giornata si svolgerà un incontro riservato al team di ricerca per la programmazione dei workshops Drinkscape che si svolgeranno a marzo 2019 a Kyoto e a settembre 2019 a Torino.

The seminar Drinkscape. The cultural landscape of Wine in Piemonte and Tea in Uji aims at starting the collaboration on research and education between the Politecnico di Torino and the Kyoto Institute of Technology in the fields of architecture, territory, urban design and design.
Activities will begin with a first day of exchange and debate among researchers and professors of the two universities. These contributions will show each institution’s competences and knowledge developed in the field of cultural landscapes in Italy and Japan. During the second day a site visit will be organized in the area of the I paesaggi vitivinicoli del Piemonte: Langhe-Roero e Monferrato (Vineyard landscape in Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato areas”). This area has been recognized as Unesco’s World Heritage in 2014, and this visit has the main goal of preparing the Polito/KIT Joint Workshop to be held here in September 2019.
The third day is dedicated to a meeting among the members of the research team that are directly involved in the Drinkscape Joint Workshops: the first to be held in Japan in March 2019, the second to be held in Italy in September 2019.
